The Direc颅tor of Hor颅ti颅cul颅ture will be respon颅si颅ble for all aspects of man颅age颅ment and long-term care of Gov颅er颅nors Island鈥檚 diverse gar颅dens. The Direc颅tor will shape open space man颅age颅ment pro颅to颅cols and lead a pro颅fes颅sion颅al hor颅ti颅cul颅ture team.
The Project Man颅ag颅er will over颅see a range of cap颅i颅tal projects through all stages of plan颅ning, design, and con颅struc颅tion at a time of sig颅nif颅i颅cant growth on Gov颅er颅nors Island, ensur颅ing that projects pro颅ceed in coor颅di颅na颅tion with avail颅able fund颅ing sources, the Island鈥檚 oper颅a颅tional needs, and short-term and long-term devel颅op颅ment plans.
The Sea颅son颅al Asso颅ciate will sup颅port the Direc颅tor of Cli颅mate Pro颅grams on the Trust鈥檚 cli颅mate action plan颅ning, annu颅al emis颅sions inven颅to颅ry update, and cli颅mate pilot颅ing opportunities.
The Sea颅son颅al Gar颅den颅er cares for plant颅ed areas through hor颅ti颅cul颅tur颅al tasks such as plant颅i颅ng, weed颅ing, mulching, prun颅ing and water颅ing, and uses pow颅er equip颅ment such as mow颅ers, hedge trim颅mers and string trim颅mers. This posi颅tion is ide颅al for some颅one new to the hor颅ti颅cul颅ture field who has a demon颅strat颅ed inter颅est in native plants and orna颅men颅tal gardening.
