Learn all about what it takes to effecÂtiveÂly manÂage the unique urban forÂest on GovÂerÂnors Island at ForÂest for All ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥â€™s third annuÂal City of ForÂest Day, feaÂturÂing a volÂunÂteer project and a tree tour! RegÂisÂtraÂtion is live at the link below. Please note: this event will be held entireÂly outÂdoors on GovÂerÂnors Island, and is rain or shine. Please dress with the weathÂer in mind.
Tree & Bird Tour — 2PM
Join the Trust for GovÂerÂnors Island’s arborist and the New York City Bird Alliance for a tour of the Island’s 3,000+ trees. Peep the dazÂzling fall foliage and learn about the relaÂtionÂships between native and migraÂtoÂry birds and the trees they depend on for forÂage and habiÂtat. RegÂisÂtraÂtion is highÂly encourÂaged to attend. Please dress with the weathÂer in mind.

City of ForÂest Day is a day of activÂiÂties across the city to raise awareÂness of the imporÂtance of the New York City urban forÂest and the ForÂest for All ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ coaliÂtion, of which GovÂerÂnors Island is a member.
